Job Title: Workshop Manager
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £45- 50K
Hours: Mon-Fri 9-5
Location: Neath
Sunny have an exciting opportunity for a Workshop Manager to join an expanding and prosperous company based in Neath.
Responsibilities
- Allocating of tasks to staff
- Driving and motivate staff on a daily basis to safely increase productivity
- Controlling workflow within factory 1, 2 and 3 to ensure processes are maintained whilst adhering to the company’s safety standards, policies and procedures
- Liaising with customers and clients as required
- Carrying out Inspections and Quality Control
- Examining all stages of workshop operations to include fabrication and machine shop delivery to ensure compliance with company procedures
- Providing training and assistance to employees
- Ensuring production targets and work quality are achieved throughout the business
- Reporting any equipment problems or safety issues immediately to the Health and Safety Manager/ Operations Manager
- Making sure all Health and Safety procedures are adhered to throughout the workshop and other areas within the factory at all times.
- Liaising with Designer Engineers on methods to improve product and production efficiency
- Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with the Company’s proud, high standards of quality and production
Requirements
- To come from a manufacturing background having experience of machine shop, fabrication, welding, assembly and paint.
- An excellent communicator, you will have the ability to drive and motivate your team. You will have clear people management skills and an ability to communicate clearly and positively.
- To have extensive experience in a similar role
- The ability to read and interpret drawings and specification documents.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external customers.
- Comfortable in using IT software such as Microsoft packages are a must.
- Able to demonstrate your understanding of ISO 2015 quality standards. An understanding of Lean Management would be a great advantage.
- Due to the location of the factory a full UK driving licence is preferred.
- A folk lift licence would be a benefit but is not essential.
