Our client/The role: Working as an Assistant Accountant in a Pembrokeshire based company with another office in Lancashire. While they have been established for over 40 years, they are now owned by a German manufacturer of diagnostic imaging equipment. This role sits at the heart of the business, interacting with the sales, logistics and service team. Opportunities to work with group CFO on implementation of policy, FX hedging projects etc. There is the potential for development into a management role for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily bank reconciliation and maintenance of the cashflow forecast.
Processing supplier invoices and arranging payments.
Processing employee mileage and expense claims.
Processing sales orders and invoicing.
Produce purchase orders and purchase invoices in accordance with established procedures.
Reconcile monthly credit card statements.
Credit control.
Month end procedures.
Assist with the production of monthly management accounts.
What we need from you/ requirements/ what you will have:
AAT Level 4 is desirable.
Experience of Sage 50 Accounts.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Solid Accountancy and bookkeeping skills.
Computer literacy and a working knowledge of accounting packages and other relevant applications.
Solid understanding of financial systems and processes.
Self-motivated with the ability to function effectively in a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
AAT Level 4
