MECHANICAL ENGINEER | Pembrokeshire
Salary: £42,252 – £70,424
Hours: 5 days a week Monday – Friday 37.5hrs
Our client are within the Oil & Gas industry, located in the beautiful coastal area of Pembrokeshire, and are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their busy team.
Job Description/ The role: As a Mechanical Engineer you will provide technical & mechanical engineering support and guidance to onsite personnel, ensuring safe and reliable operation of equipment across its lifecycle. You will be accountable for site mechanical standards & specifications for new equipment or repairs to existing equipment. You will oversee the equipment integrity to ensure compliance with regulations. You will manage contract for inspection service, ensuring inspection recommendations are reviewed and appropriately actioned.
What we need from you/ requirements/ what you will have :
- IEng Professional Engineer status (or working towards) registered with the Engineering Council UK.
- Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering.
- Thorough understanding of mechanical principles in practice including pressure vessels, piping and tankage.
- Knowledge and understanding of the identification of equipment damage techniques, particularly risk-based inspection.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with a can-do approach and a passion for helping the business to succeed.
- Effective technical report writing and the ability to present complex technical information concisely.
- Contracts management experience
