Job Description / The Role:
As a Front of House Admin/Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for guests and customers, ensuring a professional and friendly experience. You will manage reception duties, handle administrative tasks, process bookings, and assist with basic bookkeeping. This role requires a customer-focused individual with strong IT and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greeting guests and providing excellent customer service.
- Handling reception duties, including answering and directing calls.
- Managing bookings through the online booking site.
- Processing card payments.
- Typing correspondence and handling administrative tasks.
- Using in-house software for charging meters.
- Accessing various company dashboards to download invoices, process, and file accordingly for accounts auditing.
- Completing administrative tasks such as filing, accepting, and delivering mail.
- Ensuring the reception area is clean, organised, and well-maintained.
- Keeping office supplies stocked.
- Providing basic bookkeeping assistance by organising invoices for accountants.
- Assisting with occasional hotel-related duties as needed.
What We Need From You:
- Strong attention to detail.
- Customer-centric approach and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, committed, and able to use logic and common sense.
- Ideally, living locally.
- Flexible with working hours, including occasional Saturday mornings (1-2 per month).
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
- Computer literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word essential.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills.
- Previous experience in a reception, front-of-house, or administrative role is desirable.
- Problem-solving abilities and the ability to adapt to changing situations.
- Discretion and sensitivity when handling confidential matters.
- Ability to work professionally under pressure.
- Strong IT skills and experience with booking systems/software.
