Senior Engineer wanted to join this growing organisation in the heart of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park on the South West Coast of Wales.
You will be a Senior Engineer with a focus on civil engineering background, looking for a new challenge in Pembrokeshire where you will ideally currently reside or be open to relocation.
Permanent Position
Salary £53,422 plus car allowance
25 Days holiday, plus bank holidays rising with service

As the Senior Engineer your duties will be varied including but not limited to the following;
The Senior Engineer is responsible for day-to-day management of the Engineers and to support development and delivery of the organisations strategically aligned engineering maintenance plan.
- Be the central point of contact for lead advisors and stakeholders for day-to-day engineering related work.
- The role requires interfacing between internal departments and external agencies, such as Architects, Engineers, Construction Workers, Sub-contractors, Client agents, Clerk of Works, and Site Staff, as well as some coordination of sub-contractors.
- Work closely with the operational teams and Head of Engineering to develop objectives, strategies, and lead multiyear maintenance plans.
- Support the project team and wider business with specialist technical knowledge and advice.
- Lead on development of engineering works.
- Mentoring of team members and wider business.
- Facilitate workshops to establish requirements and solution options to support and develop Business cases and plans to deliver.
- Preparation and development of design briefs, cost plans, commissions, and specifications for work packages for development works, including investigations, architectural and structural design, and construction, working with the Procurement Manager.
- Preparing scopes for engineering works, looking at options, costs, time, environmental impact, and risk assessments.
- Technically proficient and have a problem-solving mind.
- Ensuring that engineering solutions adhere to current standards including health and safety requirements.
About you and your Skills and Experience
- Degree (or equivalent experience) in an engineering discipline.
- Civil engineering background
- Membership of an appropriate professional organisation.
- Several years relevant postgraduate experience
- Experience running large scale Engineering projects using NEC contracts as the client
- Enjoy the challenge of being part of / leading within an evolving team with the aim of becoming a centre of excellence.
- Experience of running a team, setting workplans and establishing budgets.
- Ability to communicate complex engineering problems and solutions simply.
- Will be responsible to the day to day running and growing the Engineering team and it’s capabilities.
- Good contract / account management skills
